Welcome to my reflection page! Here, I'll be delving into my experiences and growth throughout the ENC1011 semester. This page is dedicated to showcasing my academic journey throughout this course, alongside the skills I've acquired as a writer.

Literacy Snapshot Essay: Language and Identity

This assignment was a wonderful way to practice my writing and further develop skills that will assist me in drafting better essays and stories in the future. However, the Literacy Snapshot: Language and Identity essay assignment particularly helped me to work towards one of the specific student learning outcomes highlighted in the course syllabus:

Students will apply rhetorical knowledge to communicate for a range of audiences and purposes.

Seeing as this assignment entails recounting a specific event through the lens of a story, I was able to use rhetorical devices that I likely wouldn't have used had I been writing an academic essay. This assignment allowed me to practice a more creative and informal writing style while still keeping in mind that part of its purpose is to fulfill a course requirement. Therefore, I was able to work on both recounting an event in a way that would engage my audience while still attempting to maintain a level of professionalism and adhere to academic standards.
